An on-site phone system is a small box in your network closet that runs your whole phone system. You buy it once. Grandstream UCM systems have no per-user licences and no yearly licence fees.
We pair the box with Canadian SIP lines, your existing numbers and the desk phones you choose. It is a great fit for warehouses, clinics and offices with patchy internet, or anyone who simply prefers to own rather than rent.

Is on-site cheaper than hosted?
Over several years it can be, especially for larger teams, because there are no per-user or yearly licence fees on Grandstream UCM. Hosted wins for remote teams and anyone who wants zero hardware.
Are there any licence fees?
Grandstream UCM systems have no per-user or per-feature licences. An optional remote-access plan is only needed if you want apps outside the office without a VPN.
