Proudly CanadianNumber porting

Keep your numbers. We handle the move.

Switching providers should not mean reprinting business cards. We port your numbers from any Canadian carrier, schedule the cut-over for a quiet moment and test every line before and after.

Porting is the process of moving your phone number from one carrier to another. In Canada it is your right under CRTC rules, and your old carrier must release the number. The hard part is the paperwork: the name, address and account number must match the old bill exactly, or the port gets rejected.

We do that part. You send us a recent bill and sign a letter of authorization, and we submit, chase and schedule it. While the port is in progress, we set up your new system on a temporary number so your team can test everything before the switch.

What is included

  • Porting from TELUS, Bell, Rogers, Shaw, Videotron, SaskTel, Eastlink and others
  • Letter of authorization and bill matching done for you
  • Temporary number so you can test before cut-over
  • Cut-over scheduled for early morning or a weekend
  • Every number test-called after the port
  • Reminder to cancel the old service only after the port completes

FAQ

Number porting: common questions

How long does porting take in Canada?

Most local numbers port in 5 to 10 business days. Toll-free numbers and large multi-line ports can take two to four weeks.

Will my phones stop working during the port?

There can be a few minutes when calls route to the old carrier or the new one as the networks update. We schedule this for a quiet time and test right away.

Should I cancel my old phone service first?

No. Cancelling first can release your number and lose it. Keep the old service until we confirm the port is done.
